Starting from October 9, 2025, important changes in payment transactions will come into effect. These changes are based on the EU regulation which aimes to improve security within the euro payment area. Ziraat Bank International AG is implementing these requirements with the following updates:

1. Introduction of Recipient Verification for Transfers
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
From October 9, 2025, we will automatically verify whether the entered recipient name matches the IBAN for every SEPA transfer – standard or instant.You will receive feedback on the match of the recipient data before submitting your transfer.This measure is set to protect your money, reduce incorrect transfers, and significantly hinder fraud attempts.

2. SEPA Instant Payments
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
Starting from October 9, 2025, you can transfer money within seconds to all countries in the euro area – both electronically and via paper-based methods. You will continue to have control over your payments through individual limits.
